These are all things that tend to get left behind in the midst of babies, sicknesses, soccer games, doctor appointments, visiting in-laws, holidays, and in general, life. However, when we don’t take care of ourselves, this is what happens…
When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried? When was the last time you truly lost track of time? So often we forget how amazing life truly is. We forget because we are rushed into the day at the sound of an alarm, and we don’t give ourselves ten extra minutes to step outside and breathe the cool, crisp morning air.
My baby, (actually toddler) got sick this week. In the middle of the night, just as I was closing my eyes and dosing off to dreamland (he would have it no other way), my baby boy got sick in his crib, vomiting…
…what I did care about then and remember to this day is coming home from school every day and finding her on the couch reading a book, waiting for me to walk in so she could say to me, “Hi Sweet Pea. How was your day?”
This was such a fun party to host for my son’s third birthday. He loves dinosaurs and several months prior to his birthday we did the salt dough fossils activity together, which was so much fun for us both. From that activity came the inspiration for this dinosaur birthday party including the Salt Dough Fossils, Dinosaur Eggs (with baby dinosaurs inside), Ice Eggs, and of course a Dinosaur Excavation.
Digging and chipping through sand in search of dinosaur bones and skeletons. Once the kids meandered over to the excavation/favor table to open their excavation kits, they were kept very busy for nearly the remainder of the party…
Ice shaped eggs with colorful dinosaurs inside…This was the first big hit of the party, partly because it was the last thing I set up and all the kids saw me put the eggs into the water table. Of course that drew their attention. Nearly every kids spent about the first 45 minutes, (possibly an hour) working on this activity.
the best, most elastic and soft play dough ever! And it didn’t have the traditional not-so-desired play dough smell either, which is always a bonus
…the perfect combination of sweet caramel and salty pretzels…
A spread or dip recipe for rolls, pretzel, sweet chips and bagels.
