This Delicious and Sweet Spread is one you don’t want to miss.

I first discovered sweet cream cheese spread at a friend’s son’s birthday party several years ago. It was so delicious I had to get the recipe. Turns out, I lost the actual recipe my friend used. However, after making some cake frosting for a cake months later, I created my own little experiment adapting the frosting recipe into this sweet spread. The dash of vanilla adds just a little extra burst of vanilla sweetness and a splash of heavy cream make this spread smooth and fluffy. Check out the full recipe below.

This Sweet Cream Cheese Spread is so versatile too! Use it as a spread on sweet toast, or a sweet bagel. You can use it as a dip for apples, pears, strawberries, blueberries, or any berries. Spread some on freshly baked cinnamon rolls, sweet Hawaiian rolls, or biscuits. I used this recipe for dipping braided pretzels at my son’s birthday party. Since it was a dinosaur themed party, I called it ‘Bones and Plaster.’ Ultimately Bones and Plaster is a fancy way to call a party tray of honey braided pretzels with a sweet cream cheese spread/dip. Sweet Cream Cheese Spread Recipe

Ingredients

Braided Honey Glazed Pretzel, or similar
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 Tbs butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbs heavy cream

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, whip cream cheese and butter until smooth and fluffy.
Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla and mix until well combined.
Add the heavy cream. Whip until fluffy, (about 2 minutes).
Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
When ready, create your own platter with the braided pretzels and the cream cheese dip. Serve and enjoy.
