Need Amazing Grace? It is Undeserved, yet Freely Given

I had a time in my life, when I was in my twenties when I had allowed sin into my life. It started in my heart when I was in college because I had some anger towards God about some things. By the time I was in the second year of my career, the sin manifested in my life fully. But nobody aside from me knew about it. It was my dark little secret. I was still serving in my church, teaching in children’s ministry, going to my community groups, and in general, still living the Christian life, outwardly.

A friend from college called me one night and asked me…

Make Adventure A Lifestyle Choice And Live Better.

I’ve been on several travel adventures throughout my life. Of course, I am in no way done with adventure. For instance, I’ve been to plenty of U.S. States on road trips. I’ve camped, backpacked, and seen a lot of back country and National Parks. I’ve been to Baja, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru (twice), England, France, Amsterdam, Norway, Estonia, and I lived in Russia for a short time…I love talking about travel and adventures, so of course I had to include a conversation in the Live Heart-Fully Conversation Series about adventure. That is why I invited Kate Roman to chat with me about…

It’s Okay to Cry! Crying is Beautiful. Embrace it.

Crying can be such a wonderful, healing, and cathartic thing to do. There are moments in all of our lives when we are deeply moved by something, or deeply hurt. I know it’s strange, but I have often enjoyed my cries though, (despite that others may see the uglier side of my face). Afterwards, I just feel better, and oddly refreshed. When you experience moments (being deeply moved or hurt), you may ask yourself, is it okay to cry. I am writing this blog to tell you that it IS okay to cry…I would love to stop buying into cultural expectations. After all crying is what makes us human, and it is a way to…

We talked a great deal about…
